Blackheads is a common problem that many people end up living with. However, you no longer have to suffer from them. Use easy and simple home remedies provided in the article below to eliminate blackheads and regain flawless and blemish-free skin.

People with oily skin often complain of blackheads, but any skin type can be prone to them. Typically, these spots appear on the face, back, chest or any other part of the body where the sebaceous glands are overactive and produce excess oil. This blocks the pores in the skin, and as the matter within the pores is exposed to grime and dust, it turns black, resulting in a blackhead. Thankfully, there are many home remedies for blackheads that are extremely effective.

Fuller's earth paste

These home remedies are easy to prepare and use, and are extremely cost effective. Try mixing fuller's earth with some rose water and applying it on the face. Make sure the paste dries completely before washing it off with some cold water. This home remedy is more suitable for people with normal skin.

Using drumstick leaves

Another great home remedy is making a paste of drumstick leaves and mixing some fresh lemon juice to it. Alternatively, you can take equal quantities of yoghurt, oatmeal, olive oil and fresh lemon juice, and apply the smooth paste on the blackheads. Allow the paste to dry before washing off with cold water.

The benefits of sandalwood paste

Sandalwood has been used in Asian cultures for centuries for its curative properties. Sandalwood paste is a good conditioner for oily skin. In addition, it helps to eliminate blackheads. Make a paste with some rose water. Let it dry completely and then rinse with cold water. You will immediately notice how fresh and smooth your face feels and appears.

Fruit pulp

Fruits are also great for getting rid of blackheads. Make a pulp of grapes and apply on the blackheads. Allow it to stand for 15 to 20 minutes before washing your face with some lukewarm water. Cucumber makes an excellent facial mask for skin exfoliation and getting rid of blackheads. Blend a few cucumber pieces into a pulp and apply on the affected areas. Let the pulp dry completely and wash with cold water.

Vinegar and cornstarch

Another effective home remedy for blackheads is vinegar and cornstarch. Make a paste of cornstarch using natural vinegar. Apply on the blackheads and let the paste dry. Wash with warm water.
